Not bad, and excellent value for around £30. Amost passes Lindos Grade A if output level is ignored.
Freq response - excellent.
Phase response - excellent, clearly uses separate convertors for each channel.
Noise, pretty good, though some 6-8dB worse than the best 16-bit performance.
Slight overload apparent at +18dB. Manual tests show that this is not severe clipping but -23dB Dist Res @ +18dB and -50dB Dist Res @ +17dB. (SEQ3 has upper limit of -40).
This tiny USB device needs no software installation as it uses the generic driver in WinXP. Lower noise than most PC audio outputs, and claims to work at 32, 44.1 and 48ks/s. |
