Fitted with Lindos MVX2 input adaptor which provides a 'Unison' line-level input (AL=0dBu balanced or -6dBu single-ended on a D-type connector) and incorporates appropriate attenuation to accept balanced or unbalanced input at standard levels. It also equalises the input for a much improved low-freqency response. Input level control was set to '4' which gives 14dB of headroom. To allow further headroom would make the noise level unacceptable. Tested input to output with tape in place but not recording (results rec-rep are identical). Despite the rather poor noise performance, results on music recording using an MS1 and a pair of Lindos MM3 microphones are extremely impressive. |
