The LSC24 is a 24bit 96kHz studio convertor provides precision A-D (analogue to digital) , D-A (digital to analogue) and D-D (digital to digital) convertors that have been designed to maximise their sonic transparency in both the analogue and digital domains. Housed in a compact 1U case, the LSC24 combines key studio functions in a single unit. Noise shaping and soft limiting can be applied at the touch of a button.

Front Panel Features

Lock

Toggles the control panel lock function.
When on, all other panel controls are locked preventing accidental operation.

Mode

The LSC24 operates as a sample rate convertor. The DAC monitors the output of the conversion process.
Mode

Analogue Input

Used to monitor and adjust input settings from analogue sound sources. This includes an LED display to see the sound level displayed.

Digital Output

Digital sound output can be fully adjusted from this panel - each of the button 'scroll' through each option. Options include adjusting the 'Noise Shape', 'Format', and 'Length'

Sync

Sync Scrolls through the three options for locking the sample rate to an external source.

Selects the digital audio input format. Sample rate of the input signal is also displayed.

This panel allows the user to adjust the settings for Analogue output, included is a 'level indicator' of the audio signal prior to the DAC.

DIGITAL INPUT AES3-id / S-PDIF input A BNC connector accepts an AES3-id (Professional) format input or S-PDIF (Consumer) input via a Phono / RCA adapter supplied with the LSC24. Level switching is internally controlled from the Digital Input Format section of the front panel. AES3 Inputs The A/Right input provides the primary AES3 input and also the A/Right channel data when in Dual mode. The B/Left input provides the B/Left channel data when in Dual mode operating mode. DARS / AES11 Accepts an external Digital Audio Reference Source for the LSC24 as selected by the SYNC section of the front panel.

An external 256 x Sample Rate clock input. This is selected by the SYNC section of the front panel.

Selects the digital audio input format. Sample rate of the input signal is also displayed. Fused IEC inlet connector. The LSC24 can accept mains supplies 85 Ð 264V AC, 47-440 Hz or 110 Ð 370V DC.
